Overlook Farm is such a beautiful place that I have posted TONS of pictures.....
Front of the main house....
Glenn's apartment is above this garage....
This is a barn built in 1816, used at one time for animals on the farm, but refurbished by the owner of the farm into a dining hall, complete with sitting area, kitchen, and bathroom, to accommodate his large family when they get together on the farm for special occasions...IT IS GORGEOUS....
Two of the sides of the barn are just glass so that the family can enjoy the view of the farm....
The driveway leading to the guesthouse that we stayed in....
our accommodations for the week....
This is a house on the property that is currently being rented by someone....but....should Glenn get married, this is the house he will live in...we are praying for a wife for Glenn ;)....
Of course, being a working farm, we spent the week surrounded by cows....lots of mamas and babies....
and some bulls....
in fact, on one of the days, Brandon, Trevor and Joshua went to work with Glenn. They helped him tag the new baby cows...I actually have a video of this and will upload it later - it is hilarious....they also helped with some Spring clean-up, and helped to set up the fountains in the lakes on the property....
Glenn working to separate the mamas and babies....
my boys standing FAR off...I would have loved to hear their thoughts at this point....
One of the fountains they helped to set up....
Also on the property were some horses that we fed apples to....
All of the kids had a blast exploring the property. Elli and the twins loved to go on walks, sometimes together....
and sometimes Elli would wave goodbye and take off by herself....
We went for lots of walks to visit the cows - one mamma was actually ready to have her baby any day, but she didn't have it while we were visiting...
We went on lots of walks to the lake....
Glenn would point out fish, crayfish, turtles, bugs, tadpoles, frogs, salamanders...
The boys had a good time skipping rocks, fishing, and rowing around on the lake...
Trevor learned how to HOLD ON to the paddle....haha....I actually have a video of them retrieving the paddle - I will upload it later - another hilarious video!!!
Jason and Reagan loved playing with sticks in the water and climbing on rocks....
Jason kissing a stick....me thinks he needs to get outside more....:)
Joshua, Trevor, and Brandon also had fun climbing on rocks....
We all had such a great trip...Thank you Glenn for letting us come up to visit you and putting up with our antics - and questions ;) - for a week...Can we come again?
PLEASE!!!
