Happy Memorial Day!!!

We started out our Memorial Day morning by going to the Township parade.  We all wore our red/white/blue and brought out our flags to show our support for all of the people who have served, and still serve, our country in order to preserve the freedoms and liberties that we enjoy every day.

Joshua and Trevor marched in the parade with the Boy Scouts....

We did stop at the park to play before the parade....we can't resist a park....

 We love a parade....
We loved it even more this year because Brandon was able to watch it with us instead of marching in it....

 Our Boy Scout Troop....
Can you find Trevor and Josh?
Hope you all have a wonderful Memorial Day!!

Happy Spring....Happy Garden....

I promised my Mother-in-law that I would take some pictures of my garden and I decided to post them here.  Starting on my deck....
My Tomato plant...it has grown about 4 inches just this week....
 My lettuce....
....two kinds....
My snap peas....I am sooooo excited about these...they are my favorite!!
My sweet potatoes....I loooove the colorful vine ;)
My parsley...
My Thai basil....this smells and tastes heavenly!!!
My Cilantro....strawberry and Mango salsa were my favorites last year!!!
My aloe vera....gotta have that with all my accident prone kids....although I heard it comes in a bottle too :)
Now, off the deck and into the yard....
My backyard is crazy with growth....I have been doing a ton of trimming....
My rose bushes should be beautiful this year.....
My planter box is up....the pinwheels actually keep the rabbits and squirrels away with their shininess and their noise....
In the top part of the box we have asian beans, onions, and pumpkins....
 Asian beans....
 Pumpkins....
Onions....
In the bottom part of the box we have more onions along the sides and marigolds up front which serve to protect the cash crop for us....STRAWBERRIES!!!!!
And, the newest addition to our yard...someone gave us a swing set  :)
Ok Mom...now it's your turn....I want to see your garden :)

Happy Mother's Day....

I hope you made as many memories as I did this Mother's Day.
Let's begin with Elli trying hard to look like her older brother by giving herself a chocolate goatee....

After breakfast....and some lounging....we headed to Cape May and visited the lighthouse....
It was a beautiful day to visit the beach....
....and climb the 6 stories of circular stairs to the top of the lighthouse....
Me and my beautiful children at the top of the lighthouse...
The ocean was beautiful....
From the top of the lighthouse you can see the WWII bunker built on the beach.
This area of New Jersey was a hotbed for U-boat activity during WWII....

Trevor and Joshua are such rebels....we can't take them anywhere.....

My beautiful princess....
 ...with her Mama....
 My super twins....
 ....with their Mama....
The SS Atlantus...launched December 5, 1918...
Her final resting place is in Cape May, New Jersey...
Cape May is a dreamy little beach town with beautiful beach cottages everywhere....
....and lots of little restaurants where you can get burgers and ice cream....
Don't mind Joshua...he hates getting his picture taken...just like his daddy....
Jason, however, LOVES to smile for the camera....
....and pose for pictures too.
Here he is blowing out his french fry stuck in his burger....
And, seeing as no Mother's Day would be complete without the little ones that make Mother's Day possible, I would like to introduce you all to my new nephew....
Hayden Patrick Rice...born May 12, 2013 at 6:23 am (I think that is right :))....
There is nothing better than the memories I have for this Mother's Day!!
Thanks to my Hubba and children for spoiling me and loving me so much today!!!
Happy Mother's Day!!
