We live in such an Ugly world!!!  I read the news, I listen to Chris' stories about work, and I get overwhelmed !!  I have to tell Chris not to show me or tell me anymore because I have terrible dreams and can't sleep.  I wonder...as overwhelmed as I feel...how must God feel?  I read the story about Noah in the Bible...how disgusted with mankind must God have been to totally wipe them off the face of the Earth?  The same can be said of Sodom and Gomorrah.  So perverted that God destroyed both cities (Genesis 18,19).  What's even scarier is the knowledge that God sees EVERYTHING!!  What does God see that I don't?  How scary - He sees EVERYTHING!!  At times like this I am thankful for the Covenant God made with Noah, and the rainbow he put in the sky to remind us of that Promise that He will never flood the Earth again (regardless of the claims to the rainbow by the perverted gays and lesbians!!)!  I am also thankful for the Promise of the Rapture ~
1Thess4:16For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Matthew 24:35Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
36But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.  37But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.  38For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, 39And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 40Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 41Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 42Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.  43But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. 44Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

1Corinth15:50“Behold, I tell you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed.”

Acts1:7 He said to them: “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
9 After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight.
10 They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. 11 “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.”

Luke 17:22 Then he said to his disciples, “The time is coming when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, but you will not see it. 23 People will tell you, ‘There he is!’ or ‘Here he is!’ Do not go running off after them. 24 For the Son of Man in his day[d] will be like the lightning, which flashes and lights up the sky from one end to the other. 25 But first he must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation. 26 “Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man. 27 People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all. 28 “It was the same in the days of Lot. People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. 29 But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all. 30 “It will be just like this on the day the Son of Man is revealed. 31 On that day no one who is on the housetop, with possessions inside, should go down to get them. Likewise, no one in the field should go back for anything. 32 Remember Lot’s wife! 33 Whoever tries to keep their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life will preserve it. 34 I tell you, on that night two people will be in one bed; one will be taken and the other left. 35 Two women will be grinding grain together; one will be taken and the other left.”

I am so thankful for these promises, I am so thankful that I became Christian and gave my life to Jesus 12 years ago, and I am so thankful for all of the "handfulls on purpose" (Ruth2:15,16) that God has seen fit to bless me with!!!

More Birthday pics...

Reagan entertained Grammi and Papa all weekend with his costumes...
Elli loved getting rides from her brother...
Grammi made Elli a new hat ~ despite the look on her face she loved it and wore it for a long time...
This was pretty much how Elli fell asleep day and night over the crazy weekend...
It was a beautiful weekend, and we were able to enjoy being out on the deck...
Papa made sure to get us caught up on all the "honey-do's" on my list...
But, he also took time to relax and enjoy himself (although I think Papa totally enjoys honey-do's)...
Elli loved being outside...
And...she discovered her belly-button...
A smile from Elli, even at 5:30 am...
The dumbbells that Mommy cleverly wrapped for Daddy's birthday...
The picture of the Liberty Bell that Mackenzie took when she was visiting, and that Mommy blew up and framed for Daddy's birthday (Beautiful Picture Mackenzie!!)...
After dinner we celebrated one more time with Daddy - Reagan enjoyed singing to him;)...
Hmmmm, wonder what he wished for...
Happy Birthday Daddy!!  We love you sooooo much and we hope you had a Super 40th Birthday!!!

Joshua's Blue and Gold

Over Daddy's Birthday weekend, Joshua celebrated becoming a boyscout at the Boyscout Blue and Gold Dinner.  We started outside with a big Bon Fire.  Then the boys had to climb across a rope bridge - like a right of passage;).  The scouts constructed the rope bridge last weekend on their camp out.  It was 10 feet off the ground, and 50 feet across, and it was very windy during the ceremony!!  There were a couple of boys that almost didn't make it!  Joshua, however, went across the quickest, and without any problems!
You can see, in the photo below, the pile of wood for the Bon Fire, and the rope bridge in the background...
After the fire was lit, and some stories were told by their Scoutmaster, the boys took their turns crossing the bridge...
Elli was a little antsy during this part and daddy had to take her for a stroll...
Here is Joshua crossing the bridge...
When Joshua got across, his brother Trevor was waiting with a new Boy Scout hat and neckerchief...
Then, Joshua was presented with an Arrow of Light plaque (mommy was with him for this part)...
After the outdoor events, we all went in for cake...
Elli got antsy during the dinner too :) and playing under the table proved to be a great game (dress and all;))...
Congratulations Joshua!!

Happy 40th Birthday to the Love of my Life!!!

Today is Chris' 40th birthday.  We have actually been celebrating since this past Friday when his parents flew in as a surprise!!!
He was TOTALLY SURPRISED!!  Mom and Dad hid in the bathroom as Chris came home from work, and then came out and surprised him.  I didn't have a camera handy because I didn't want to blow the surprise, so I have no pictures, but it was soooooo funny!!  He jumped back and sort of screamed - it was funny!!  The next surprise came when his Aunt, Uncle, and cousin also came to celebrate with us!!  We had a dinner on Friday night and a brunch on Saturday morning.  Mom and Dad stayed at the house with us, so we have had a lot of time to have fun with them.  This morning we got to wake them up at 5:30 for our traditional early morning birthday celebration...
Grammi and Papa leave this afternoon, we will be so sad to see them go.  Next time they visit they have to stay longer!!  I am so glad that they were here for Chris' birthday, they made his birthday so special and soooo much fun!!!   HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABE - LOVE YOU TONS!!

I am the one on the far right, again, with the green hat...

Trevor is helping me earn my Totin' Chip ~ so I can carry my pocket knife and use saws and axes when we go camping...
Me, Nick and Christian...
On Sunday we headed back to our Troop meeting place at the Scullville Firehouse where we built a log tower, and rope bridge (10 feet by 50 feet), that we will use this Saturday night at the Boyscout Blue and Gold Dinner.  That is the dinner where me and my friends will officially become Boy scouts and leave Cub scouts behind.
Trevor helping to build the rope bridge...
We had a lot of fun but I missed my mom a TON!!!
