Day 12 - A Charlie Brown Christmas
Yesterday we went down to Johnson's Farm. They were holding a cool little holiday festival thing. They had reindeer, sheep, alpacas, and a whole bunch of play things for everyone to play on.

Day 11 - I Believe!
After one week of donating and praying, Olga's adoption account is up to $5162!!!
This week of praying and believing God for a miracle for Olga has brought the Hope of this season alive for me. My kids and I have talked about why we love this season so much, and it always come down to the feeling of Hope and generosity that fills the air during this time of year. Hope and generosity were born with Jesus. Hope and generosity is what is bringing about this Christmas Miracle for Olga. This week of donating and praying is what Christmas is all about. I am so thankful for Jesus being born, and all the gifts He gave us with His life and with His death...The gift of Freedom (through salvation), the gift of Prayer, the gift of Hope, the gift of Life more abundantly... I Believe Olga will get her Christmas Miracle of adoption, and I am so thankful for the very minuscule part I have played in it.

Just to keep you up to date on Olga, her Adoption Grant account is now at $3400.00!! And, if everyone that has visited my sister-in-law's blog - 2400people yesterday - gave only $10.00, Olga would have enough money for a family to adopt her. So...keep praying, and if you donated, thank you. For some reason, this little girl has touched the hearts of this family. So thank you for praying with us!!
And now for something completely different...(you will have to scroll down and pause the player on the left side of the blog before you watch this - but it is worth it, this video is AWESOME!!)

Day 8
I wanted to let all of you know that because of your prayers yesterday, Olga's adoption grant account went from $78 to $1,756 in 10 hours. Not only that, but Patti had 99 comments on her blog from people who were blogging, emailing, donating, facebooking, tweeting ( I have no idea what tweeting or facebooking is;)), and praying about Olga. Thank you everyone for your prayers and donations, I am believing God for this little girl. I went on Reece's Rainbow yesterday, multiple times, to check on Olga's account and found myself immersed in the faces and stories of hundreds of kids waiting for parents who want them. I had to stop because I found myself weeping at the thought of so many unwanted children. I ask you to just continue to pray for these children. So many people have commented to my sister-in-law about God having a higher purpose in placing my niece Lily in their family. I have to say that I am beginning to see that if Lily had never been born to my sister-in-law, I would never have been on Reece's Rainbow, praying for these orphaned children, and reaching out to my readers to pray. In a matter of months - Lily is 10 months now - God has opened the eyes of many people, to these children, and heaven has been bombarded with prayer for them. I know that not everyone is able to donate, but everyone can say a prayer. I do believe prayer is more powerful. It was prayer - and Faith - that multiplied the fishes and the loaves and kept the barrels of oil full for the widow woman and her son. God has opened our eyes, I am asking you to keep them open and not close them, or direct them somewhere else, but continue to pray for these children. Thank you!
OK - onto Christmas...

Day 7 - A special post for a girl named Olga
Today I am adding an extra Christmas Post asking for a special Christmas Prayer. My sister-in-law has a blog dedicated to her daughter Lily - A Perfect Lily - She has recently been posting about a website called - Reece's Rainbow - and a little girl named Olga. Olga turns five next month. In Eastern Europe, babies with Down syndrome are deemed unacceptable at birth. Olga has spent her life in an orphanage...until now. Soon she will be transferred to a mental institution. Forever. I am linking hearts with Patti and praying hard that this little girl gets adopted quickly, so that she can have a chance to enjoy the life God has given to her. Patti is giving away a brand new iPod touch (valued at $229 ) to one lucky commenter who also donates to Olga. If everyone today says one special prayer for Olga and donates even a small amount of money to Olga, I know that a miracle can happen this Christmas! Thank you for praying with me, and please think about donating to Olga. (You can click on any of the colored words above to link to the websites for Olga.)
Olga is a beautiful, blonde haired, blue eyed little girl. She is very high functioning and healthy! No heart problem at all. She feeds and dresses her self, is working on her potty training, and even has several words. She is confident and a leader in the group.
